Hedgehog Club News June 2018:
Spend the summer holidays with the Hedgehog Club
July 30th- 3rd August.
I will be working with Martyn, Wild Ways, on a week of activities based at Colliers Copse in Appleton. You can attend the whole week – including a camp out on Thursday night – or as standalone days. Activities include building shelters, using bushcraft tools, learning how to light fires in different ways, foraging and camp fire cooking.

August 14th, 21st and 28th.
Woodland Club at Cogges Museum will be running from 10am -2pm each day. This is a drop in session which will include den building, mud kitchen, bug hunting, camp fire cooking and natural art. No need to book just turn up. These sessions are open to all ages – preschool to 11 years.
The Hedgehog Club at Hailey Community Woodland. The day runs from 10-4pm and is open to children of primary school age – 5 upwards. Activities will include den building, shelter building, camp fire cooking and natural art.
Half day of activities £15 and full day £30. These are drop off sessions. Booking will be available on the website soon.
August 23rd and 30th
The Hedgehog Club at Hailey Community Woodland. The days run from 10am -4pm. There will be 2 groups – 1. Preschool children and their carers 2. Five years upwards.
For the younger children the days will include outdoor activities based on the books by Julia Donaldson, cooking over the fire, finding out who lives in the woods and building homes for them.
The older group will learn how to survive in the wild by building shelters, filtering some water, cook on the fire, take part in treasure hunts and challenges, make a bow and arrow and work as a team to survive in the wild.
Full day £30.
