This week I am focussing the activities here and on Face Book on birds. I love watching them in my garden and when out walking in the countryside.
In my garden I have 2 bird tables, 1 bird bath and a couple of feeders, which I fill up at least once a day. It costs a fortune but they give me a lot of pleasure and during these last few months have really helped me cope.
In one of the feeders I just put sunflower hearts which the goldfinches seem to love. Did you know that a flock of goldfinches is called a charm? I love that name because they are just charming to watch and the colours are stunning- beautiful red heads and yellow flashes on their wings.
